The Carbonit Monoblock® NFP Special is a highly developed baked block filter manufactured through the sintering process. It is internationally patented, award-winning, and scientifically recognized. With a filtration fineness of 20 µm, this standardized 20-inch filter ensures effective water filtration.

Filtration Properties: 

Activated carbon filters can remove a variety of contaminants, including:

• Organic substances such as humus, algae, and fungi
• Concentrated chemicals like chlorine, trihalomethanes, and fluorides
• Heavy metals as well as microscopic organic impurities like pesticides and herbicides

Activated carbon is traditionally used in many processes within the chemical industry. Due to its high adsorptive properties, it is primarily employed for the purification of exhaust air, drinking water, and wastewater, as well as in food technology, pharmaceuticals, and chemistry.

Service Life and Maintenance: 

The recommended service life is 6 months. During this period, up to 10,000 liters of water can be filtered. An earlier filter change may be necessary if the water flow is noticeably reduced. This is not a defect of the filter but an indication of increased fine particles in the unfiltered water.

Reports confirm that with proper use, microbial growth or breakthrough of the filter cartridge (chromatography effect) cannot be detected.

Warnings:

• The use of the filter is only permitted for cold water due to technical reasons.
• Protect from frost.
• Recommended filter change every 6 months; filter cartridges are consumables.
