Product information "Carbonit EM Puro"

Carbonit EM Puro

This filter cartridge is manufactured based on the international Carbonit® patent and the two-stage IFP Puro system for Prime Inventions. It combines the special properties of a sintered Carbonit® monoblock with microfiltration of 0.15 µm via an internal capillary membrane. Even high loads that could potentially accumulate in the organism are reliably retained. Minerals dissolved in the water remain preserved.

The EM Puro is ideal for low water pressure and allows bacterial contamination to be limited. The capillary membrane Ster-OTap® has been tested according to ANSI/NSF Standard 53 (Cyst and Turbidity Reduction). The activated carbon block used complies with German food safety regulations and is processed environmentally friendly using renewable raw materials.

By adding EM ceramic powder (EM = Effective Microorganisms), the filter cartridge gains special properties. Many users find that the water tastes fuller and fresher as a result.

This EM Puro filter cartridge fits Carbonit® filter systems such as Sanuno, Vario-HP, and Duo-HP.

Carbonit Filter Cartridges from CARBONIT are produced strictly without additives (e.g., silver) and are subject to continuous external monitoring by LGA Bayern, a company of TÜV Süd Group. By avoiding additives, the manufacturer sets a purity standard that exceeds strict German food law. Only original Carbonit filter cartridges offer a reliable function promise and provide peace of mind when using high-quality, monitored products.

Carbonit Monoblock® – baked block filter manufactured through sintering, internationally patented, multiple award-winning, and scientifically recognized.

Feature & Application

The EM Puro is a 9¾" combination cartridge made of activated carbon with an axially integrated capillary membrane. It was awarded the Innovation Prize Saxony-Anhalt in 2002.

It produces sterile (bacteria-free) water through the Carbonit Monoblock IFP Puro (Dual Stage Pro) with microfiltration membrane of absolute 0.15 µm (STER-O-TAP with log 8 reduction). The standardized 9¾" element features flat seals and an integrated O-ring (SOE). It is especially suitable for low water pressure.

This combination of two technologies ensures high water flow in specialized applications (medical technology, water dispensers) and convenient operation with downstream technical devices or mixers.

Usage Duration, Maintenance, Filter Replacement

A recommended service life of 6 months applies across Europe, considering standards such as DIN 1988, epdwa guidelines, HKI recommendations, various DIN specifications (NAL LH/AK HW 0029), DIN EN 14898, and DVGW worksheet W 513.

Foreign approvals (e.g., ANSI NSF) are irrelevant here and do not meet recognized technical standards within Germany.

Generally, up to 5,000 liters of water can be filtered within six months. However, earlier replacement may be necessary if water flow noticeably decreases. An early change is not a defect but indicates increased fine particles in unfiltered water.

Safety Notices

For technical reasons, use only with cold water; protect against frost. Recommended filter change every six months. Filter cartridges are consumables.

Delivery

The replacement cartridge is packaged in a handy individual box.
