Top end filter with color indicator

High levels of silica (silicates) in tap water often pose a problem in aquariums despite the use of modern reverse osmosis systems. Even with retention rates of up to 99%, there is often still a residual silica concentration in the ultra-pure water, which can lead to problems with diatoms, especially in saltwater aquariums.The top end filter is connected directly behind the reverse osmosis system so that any remaining silica is removed from the ultrapure water. The color indicator in the ion exchange resin shows when the filter material is exhausted. The binding capacity is exhausted at approx. 1,800 liters of water flow (depending on the water quality).
