Omnipure OMB934-10M Activated Carbon Block Filter Cartridge, 10 Micron Filtration

This filter cartridge is a high-quality filter made from baked 10 µm activated carbon based on coconut shell. Size: 9 3/4". The cartridge reduces substances from organic chemistry as well as disturbing flavors. Activated carbon filters are capable of removing organic substances (humus, algae, fungi), concentrated chemicals (chlorine, trihalomethanes, fluoride), heavy metals, and microscopic organic contaminants (pesticides, herbicides), rust, sediments, and sludge.

Traditionally, activated carbon is used in many processes within the chemical industry. Due to its high adsorptive properties, it is mainly employed in the purification of exhaust air, drinking water, wastewater, and in food technology, pharmaceuticals, and chemistry.

Usage Duration & Filter Replacement

A service life of 6 months is recommended across Europe. In addition to the standards of DIN 1988, this also considers epdwa guidelines, HKI recommendations, various DIN standards (NAL LH/AK HW 0029), DIN EN 14898, and DVGW worksheet W 513. Generally, approximately 10,000 liters of water can be filtered within these 6 months. However, an earlier replacement may be necessary if water flow noticeably decreases. An early change is not a defect of the filter but indicates increased presence of fine particles in the unfiltered water.
