Natural-Based Activated Carbon

This filter utilizes sintered activated carbon derived from natural raw materials such as coconut shells. Thanks to its porous structure and large internal surface area, activated carbon effectively binds chemical compounds and molecules. Features of the NFP Premium-9
This filter cartridge is factory-installed in the SanUNO, DUO, and VARIO systems. The standardized 9 3/4" Carbonit Monoblock NFP Premium-9 offers an absolute filtration precision of 0.45 µm. Equipped with a flat seal (SOE) and O-ring, this block filter provides high protection against bacteria, heavy metals, pesticides, and pharmaceutical residues. The combination of the adsorptive properties of sintered activated carbon with mechanical filtration ensures comprehensive water purification.

CARBONIT filter cartridges are consistently manufactured without additives like silver and are subject to continuous external monitoring by LGA Bayern, a company of the TÜV Süd Group. By avoiding additives, the manufacturer meets strict purity standards that far exceed German food law requirements.

Usage Duration, Maintenance, and Filter Replacement
The recommended lifespan is 6 months or up to 10,000 liters of filtered water. An earlier replacement may be necessary if there is a noticeable decrease in water flow; however, this is not a defect of the filter but an indication of increased fine particles in unfiltered water. Assessments also show that with proper use, no microbial growth or breakthrough of the filter cartridge (chromatography effect) can be detected.

Warnings
Please note: The use of this filter is only permitted for cold water. Protect the filter from frost. Regular replacement every 6 months is recommended; please also note that filter cartridges are consumable items.
