GFP Premium EM

The Prime Inventions EM GFP Premium is a sintered activated carbon block filter cartridge for drinking water filtering. With a pore size of approx. 0.4 μm. Compared to the main type EM Premium 5, EM GFP cartridges have a 55% higher activated carbon mass. The activated carbon mass determines the adsorptive retention rate (ARR) and retention capacity (ARK). Compared to normal NFP, the adsorptive retention rate is approximately 120% and the retention capacity is approximately 130%. Therefore, this filter cartridge is recommended for high adsorption requirements (drug residue, decolorization, odor removal, chlorine removal, etc.).

The EM ceramic is “baked” into the filter cartridge during production as a powder. This creates a very large contact surface with the water. Together with the proven filter performance of Carbonit® GFP Premium filter technology, the EM ceramic provides ideal water filtering with a unique taste experience.

EM filter cartridges

The GFP Premium EM filter cartridges combine water filters and revitalization and are manufactured exclusively by Carbonit. To produce the EM ceramics, a special fired clay is used that contains organic material from plants that are millions of years old and provide food for the EM Effective Microorganisms® during the fermentation process that lasts several months. EM ceramics have the effect, among other things, of reducing the surface tension of the water and reducing the size of the cluster structures. This restores the natural state of the water. The EM ceramic is “baked” into the filter cartridge during production as a powder. This creates a very large contact surface with the water. Together with the proven filter performance of Carbonit® filter technology, the ideal water filtering results.

Usage Duration & Maintennance

The recommended lifespan is 6 months across Europe. In addition to the specifications of DIN 1988, the epdwa guidelines, HKI recommendations, as well as findings from various DIN standards (NAL LH/AK HW 0029) and DIN EN 14898 along with DVGW worksheet W 513 must be considered.

In general, up to 10,000 liters of water can be filtered within the 6-month period. However, an earlier replacement may be necessary if the water flow is noticeably reduced. An early change is not a defect of the filter used but an indication of increased fine particles in the unfiltered water. Reports confirm that with proper use, contamination or breakthrough of the filter cartridge (chromatography effect) cannot be detected.

Warnings

For technical reasons, use is only permitted with cold water; protect from frost. Recommended filter change every 6 months. Filter cartridges are consumables.
