The "GFP Premium" cartridge is gaining popularity as it fits all CARBONIT housings (except travel filters) and offers significantly improved filter capacity due to a higher proportion of activated carbon. The adsorptive retention rate is 120%, while the retention capacity is 130% compared to the standard Carbonit NFP Premium cartridge.

What is the GFP Premium Filter Cartridge?

To remove accumulations of contaminants such as lead or copper from household pipes, we recommend using the GFP Premium in cases of increased drinking water contamination or to enhance your individual "safety buffer." With 55% more activated carbon mass than the main NFP cartridge, it provides approximately a 20% higher adsorption rate and a 30% higher adsorption capacity. This sintered activated carbon block filter made from coconut focuses on the chemical-physical removal of unwanted substances in drinking water that may arise from household installations. Compared to combination filters made of activated carbon block and membrane, this filter contains double the amount of activated carbon.

Usage Duration, Maintenance, and Filter Replacement

The recommended lifespan is six months, based on European guidelines such as DIN 1988, EPDWA guidelines, HKI recommendations, as well as various DIN specifications (NAL LH/AK HW 0029) and DIN EN 14898, along with DVGW worksheet W 513. Within these six months, up to 10,000 liters of water can be filtered. However, an earlier replacement may be necessary if there is a noticeable reduction in water flow. An early change is not a defect of the filter used but an indication of an increased presence of fine particles in the unfiltered water. Studies show that with proper use, no microbial growth or breakthrough of the filter cartridge (chromatography effect) can be detected.

Warnings

For technical reasons, use is only permitted for cold water; protect from frost. The recommended filter change occurs every six months since filter cartridges are consumable parts.

Bottle

The new drinking water bottles are made from innovative and phthalate-free Copolyester Tritan™, which contains no Bisphenol A. This plastic (triphenylmethane) is taste- and odor-neutral. Additionally, the bottles are lightweight, heat-resistant, and durable—ideal for on-the-go!

Thanks to the large opening, the bottle is easy to clean. You can fill it directly from the tap using a whirl egg without splashing. The bottles are also dishwasher safe and look similar to polycarbonate bottles but feel slightly softer. They come with blue caps.

These bottles are very lightweight, heat-resistant, stable, and practical—perfect for athletes or everyday use at work or school. Tritan bottles are also used in medical applications as well as for baby bottles and other sensitive beverages like milk.

Important Notes:
Empty and clean the bottle after each use and protect it from direct sunlight during storage. It is recommended to hand wash the Tritan bottle for longer durability. Regularly inspect the condition of the bottles; if visible cracks or cloudiness appear, replace the bottle.
