The CARBONIT ILP KKS limescale protection filter cartridge was specially developed to effectively reduce limescale deposits in pipes, fittings, and household appliances. It works with a special catalytic granulate that alters the calcium components dissolved in the water so that limescale no longer adheres firmly to surfaces.
The mechanism of action is based on the formation of so-called seed crystals: A portion of the limescale-forming minerals is transformed in a controlled manner into microscopic crystal nuclei. These crystals continue to grow freely in the water and are flushed away with the water flow, instead of adhering to heating elements, pipes, or container walls. As a result, no hard limescale deposits form, but only loose, easily wipeable residues.
After the water evaporates, limescale particles remain only as loose deposits, which can be easily removed with a microfiber cloth or sponge without the need for harsh cleaning agents. Using this product protects household appliances, reduces cleaning effort, and extends the lifespan of kettles, coffee machines, and faucets.
The ILP KKS cartridge requires little maintenance. The granules only need to be replaced when typical limescale deposits reappear.
